The last harvest

It's feeling like fall, cooler nights and mornings - Love it!
A few weeks ago we picked all the limes we could so they wouldn't go to waste. We filled about two buckets. We gave some away and the rest we squeezed to make Limeade (a family favorite) and we froze the rest (the juice). Sometimes I wish I had an extra fridge for storage reasons (hint, hint Santa).
Our lime tree's production gets better every year. We'll probably have to have Tia set up a "Limeade stand" next year and start earning money for college or just to learn the value of hard work - it's rewarding in many ways other than $$ (which is nice too).
Anyway we are going to miss the limes but know that our tree needs some "R R & R" - Rest, Relax and Replenish. As we patiently wait til next year we'll soon enjoy some lemons and oranges...I see some on our other citrus trees.
THANK YOU LIME TREE for another JUICY YEAR!
